I am the author of this hardcover book, "Grandma's Drugstore" and it dawned on me that I could turn it into a .pdf so that people could have access to it via their PC's, tablets, Kindles, etc. (by the way, .pdf's are extremely easy to convert to Kindle. You simply "print" to "Send to Kindle" with the app from Amazon). This way, you can bookmark it, turn pages, etc. like any other eBook on the device.

From years ago, I had been collecting the 'tried and true' health and beauty home remedies from the women of the mid-1800's to early 1920's. I decided to compile the top 400 into a treasury and sprinkle the pages with "Gukkie Stories": stories of my inspirational great-grandmother, Augusta Glawe (Those are in BOLD type in the Table of Contents).

As you can see, the retail copy is $24.95. However, personally, I LOVE having my own copy on my Kindle so it's always with me and I'm not carting the book around.

This book took me about 8 mos. of writing straight through: organizing all the health and beauty home remedies and I purchased the rights to all the Victorian photos used for each section and on the cover (those weren't cheap!).
