This is a 100% natural Great White shark tooth (Carcharodon Carcharias). This tooth is 1.44“ in length and weighs in at 0.25 ounces.
• While a direct fight between a great white and a megalodon is unlikely due to the vast size difference, scientists believe that great white sharks may have contributed to the megalodon's extinction by outcompeting them for food sources, essentially "out-hunting" them by being more efficient predators with similar diets
• The Evolution of the great white shark evolved from a shark called Macrorhizodus americana (M. praecursor) during the Eocene. The first prehistoric white sharks appeared in the early Oligocene.
