This classic silver coin was redesigned in 1925 because the highest part of the coin used to be the date and that got worn down the fastest. The result of the high relief of the date is the coin you see here: a coin with no visible date. We know that it must have been made between 1917 and 1925 but there is no way to determine exactly when this was issued. There is nothing where the mintmark should be, so we know this was made in Philadelphia. If you are just looking for a silver investment and you are not trying to fill a book of quarters by date, this is the coin for you.
