These are the real deal, Not kids toys. You are supposed to have a ham operators license to operate them because they go way past the 1 mile range. The sound is clear and the work excellent! I These are great for road trips with multiple vehicles. They take (3)AAA batteries each. *** one of the belt clips is broken but can be glued on if needed.*** (this does not interfere with how unit works at all) They work up to 12 MILES and are worth $19.99 but are FREE here on Listia.
