Is this made of cast iron? Does a magnet stick to it? Thats how you can tell. I think I have the same one, but mine is not cast iron and I would like to have one that is.
Just a little info.My sisters and I have a old train set like this we got when we were very little. It is is about 52 years old now. But anyway it looks like the one we have and it is a LIONEL train engine and coal car. I'm not sure how much they are worth today but I do know it is a antique.WE still have the whole set with track and transformer and it still works.
does it say new York or Chicago anywhere on the bottom and does the tender have any writing on the side. very interested. have 20000 credits ready but need a few more answers. also is there any stamps under the locomotive cab shield?
