I'm just a very long time member of this site and know what the rules are, they specifically state that you cannot exclude areas of the United States.
If you use a FREE service like Pirate Ship and print your own postage, you will find that postage is cheaper than going to USPS.
But postage is based on location anyway in the United States. If you live at one corner of the US and ship all the way diagonally to another state, it's going to be more than a state that's right next to you

Well hopefully no one from Alaska or Hawaii will win your listings lol! I think you must be mistaken, Listia wasn't around in the '80s. It must have been another site. Listia wasn't founded until August 2009.
