The listing, Antique Snuff/Perfume/Smelling Salts Holder( I think) has ended.

This belonged to my grandmother and I have never used it but always been intrigued by it. It is really unusual. I have never seen another and I am sure there are more. I can find no makers marks or anything on this. Nor do I know how to open it other than to take the stopper out which has a flared point on the end of it. Any info on this I would love to hear lol..

You know I cannot find a mark anywhere but it is so old that I am wondering if it wore off the bottom. It is really cool isnt it. Very different. Smelling salts is what women used to call snuff isn't it.

This is correct! I know because I have one. It's not on a chain though. I will list it for auction so please come check it out! It is from the late 1890's - 1920's.
