You come from the south and you have never had a corn fritter? Oh, honey you've missed out! They are basically the same thing as an apple fritter but made with corn instead of apples. They are excellent and a great way to get picky kids to eat their vegetables!

basically a fritter is a batter that is deep fried. an apple fritter has finely chopped apples mixed in with the batter.

Corn fritters come in two basic types: southern or sweet. This recipe is for a southern style corn fritter.
