what is a "firewire"? does this take still pics and can they be transferred to a computer? thanks considering gin :0)

A firewire is the smaller looking plug that plugs into the camera. They have a usb on one end and the other end is a much smaller looking usb. This cord is one way to connect your computer to the recorder to view videos, and still shots from the camera. Another way to view pictures and video you have taken is to pull the SD card out and plug into your card reader on the computer. If you do not have a SD card reader in your computer you can purchase a SD to USB adapter from just about anyplace that sells electronics for a couple of dollars. The recorder does take still shots and there is also a setting in the menu to allow it to take multiple shots in a row.
