You don't have to have seen the original series to enjoy this one, BUT it does help! The case isn't in perfect condition, but the DVD itself has been tested and plays just fine on my laptop. As you can see from the back of the case, you can watch the DVD as a 3-part series, or all in 1 go as an edited movie. It can be watched Dubbed in English or Subtitled in the original Japanese. The company that releases Gundam in America recently went out of business, so these DVDs might become harder to find soon. Grab it now while you still can! ^_~
