Is it really necessary to report this seller to Louis Vuitton directly? Do you not have better things to do with your time than to go report a Brand New seller? Does it make you feel like you have some sort of power?
I think what you did is disgusting. I understand that there are tons and tons of people who don't support the production, buying and selling of replica bags. I get it. But this seller didnt come on here and lie and state that the bag was 100% real, nor did she try to fool anyone into bidding on a bag that she claimed authentic when it's not. All she was was honest. She clearly wrote that she bought it used, didn't know whether the bag was a replica or not, and left it up to the bidders to decide. All she was doing was being honest. Is it really necessary to be totally rude like so many people have been towards her? If these comments were coming from adult mouths, which I'm assuming they are being that you have to be an adult to become a listia member, than everyone who negatively attacked and harassed this seller should be ashamed of yourself. The mature and adult-like way to approach the situation would be to kindly message the seller privately, or even post a comment on here informing her that you are sorry to give her bad news, you do understand that she was unaware if the bag was authentic or not, and that you appreciate her honesty (which is VERY rare to come by these days), but that her bag is a replica. That's all. No nasty comments, no harassing, no going out of your way like you've never made a mistake in your life and reporting her to Louis Vuitton... You're acting as though this woman committed a first degree murder.

To the seller: I really appreciate your honesty. Though it is against the law to have a fake bag in your possession or sell one, you never once claimed this bag to be authentic. Oh my god really, and we wonder why klds are such bullies. So you report it to LV and lets just say your wrong. now what . Anyone who claims to know a LV is fake or not is a liar. Unless you work for them your no expert. I have two of them real and paid the real deal. I showed it to someone and they were like oh that is so fake until I showed them the receipt. Also with LVS the serial number is not always in the same place it could be under a strap sewn inside. people who do this to other people is bullying. It is a shame and actually it is harrasment. THIS IS NOT AN ORIGINAL LOUIS VUITTON SPEEDY BAG. Marks are off, Handles on originals are not square & are not attached in this fashion. A major clue to originals is their print. It's ALWAYS straight & ALWAYS with the marks identically straight below & under handles as well as within borders of piping edges. Lock is fake! I own an original Speedy 30 (This exact bag @ $790. This style bag come in many sizes. From Mini HL $530 to Speedy 40 $840)). Marks on bag shown above are not typical of Louis Vuitton. I own several LV bags & would know. LV's are made in USA as well. Being on US soil, it falls under more strict guidelines & laws. Remove the listing. Take it to a Real Louis Vuitton store. Louis will tell you. One major key to look for when buying ORIGINAL Louis', they NEVER go on sale. No matter the store, YOU WILL PAY FULL PRICE FOR ALL LV BAGS & they are a luxury brand, so they don't need to have sales. If you purchased a LV on sale, it's a fake (Manager at the Louis Vuitton downtown Waikiki, HI said so). Even on eBay & second hand used may be a fake. When in doubt, look up signs of an Original, look at LouisVuitton.com. New LV's will cost several 100's of dollars to start. Key chains are 100's, even wallets 1,000's. I have a Sharleen bag & paid w/tax over $3,100. LV has no customer credits or rewards points. It's expensive & to people who pay top dollar price in owning originals feel it's a lifestyle & privilege. Fakes look fake to LV owners & they can tell this from a mile away. Hi Melinda! Welcome to Listia! Sorry about all the grief. I understand. Our non-profit organization had an authentic LV Speedy and matching shoes donated. Since we did not have authenticity papers, we knew we could not get what it was worth unless we did. So I, who had never even heard of a Louis Vuitton, had to do a crash course to learn the real from the fake and ended up sending about 30 pics of the two items to a website that has a Louis Vuitton design specialist to verify that the items were real. They were but in all the research to learn, I was introduced to many fake sites that LV has had to purchase, and sue because of fraud. I understand exactly why the folks get upset. But hey, don't leave Listia!! As in anything we do, there are rules. You can have loads of fun with us!! The more the merrier!

I think you were fine stating that you weren't sure about the authenticity. Folks do that with jewelry all the time. I was wrong about MAC once. Someone could have approached me with respect and politeness to let me know I was wrong but who does that here? Most would rather let you know you are a terrible person doing "illegal" things.

If this was actually real it would be valued at about $2000 and she picked it up in a thrift store for less than 20 dollars most likely.. who would give away a REAL Louis vuitton.? A knock off ? ABSOLUTELY.
