These low, shrub like plants will bear fruit in one season. Ground Cherries are easy to grow and care for. Plants have delicate blooms and abundant fruit in papery husks. I will include instructions for growing your Ground Cherries and 25 seeds. I will also include my favorite recipe for Ground Cherry Pie!

Do you know if these can be grown in California? I have never seen them here. BTW, I enjoy your blog :0)

I don't see why not. You may need to water them, but if you can grow a tomato then the climate would be alright for ground cherries. In fact, you may find that they would have a very long season, almost year round, unless you have a killing frost. Thank you for the kind words!
