no these are cold (can't be heated) however you can sit under the dryer to set the curl once you have rolled the hair. however they don't heat up individually. hope that helps!

are they for perms? or for making hair wavy without perming? Sorry for asking so many questions

no worries. they can be used for perms as well as roller sets using setting lotion/gel/cream. i know when you go to the salon they are the same rollers however i don't use actual perm solution. i wet my hair and spray in setting lotion and then sit under the dryer. i guess if you actually have the stuff for a perm you can use the same rollers. i don't because i don't want it permanently curly. hope that helps!
