This is a new one to me. Is it a shrub like plant? Usual height? I assume there are blooms before what we see in the picture?

Just purple berries, running all along the limb, very pretty. It's more like a bush, except that it's not wide and not tall. The one i have is only about three foot high.

i see these when i went to pensacaola fl.the ones that i saw were quite tall,way over the 3 ft.there berries are a very beuatiful shade of purple,they are so pretty,i wanted to take some home with me,but i live in nh,so figured it would not live up here.i would recommend this to anyone

These are quite pretty, and i do think you could grow them in your area. They are pretty hardy. I have only seen a few of the plants near here, and had to ask someone else what they were. Now, i have two in my yard, and they seem to be doing very well.
