A being named Bedlam, created by Guardian and stored away due to his potential danger, is freed and uses his mental abilities to ensnare the members of Alpha Flight, Beta Flight and a new team called the Derangers. After the battle is fought, most of the Derangers are dead except for Goblyn, who is able to flee.
