The auction that I won these on stated that it was real gold. It looks to me like it is scrap gold leaf, which is very thin sheets of 24kt gold. It is used in gold lettering on books and such.

No I have not, but I will try the local jewelry shop on Monday and see if they can test it.

Sorry no good news, however after my last post I was informed that the guy that tested it could not be trusted. So next time I go the next city closest to us I am going to have it tested again.

Ok everyone, I had the local jewelry store look at the tubes of gold fleck. They tested it and it is not gold leaf. It is Brass leaf which is mostly used in painting to simulate gold. It looks good but it is only Brass. Sorry about this, if you still want the tubes great, if not let me know and I will see what I need to do to return your credits. Thanks
