Description

The listing, Stratified Ginseng seeds- 50 has ended.

These are already stratified seeds ready for planting!!!
Have you ever wanted to grow ginseng? You can use it for medicinal purposes or to make some extra money.

"As an annual, ginseng roots will grow a new stalk every year in April/May. In late summer a 3rd year ginseng plant grown in ideal conditions will have 3, 5 pronged leaves raiating out from 6'-10' stalk. In late summer the plant will grow a seed spike from the center of the stalk and develop 25-50 red berries that can be picked." (copied from the leaflet given to me when I bought the seeds.

I bought these seeds from a Ginseng farm but really do not have a place to plant all of them. I planted some in one area of my yard but just do not have the room for all of them. Rather than the seeds go to waste I wanted to list them here. I will include a copy of the planting instructions given to me when I bought them. These seeds are ready to plant now, for spring growth. It takes a year to stratify seeds, they came stratified from the farm I bought them from. They have been kept moist.

Hi Andrea- I received them a few weeks ago. I have been keeping them at room temp. I have been opening the baggie every few days and adding a few drops of water to keep them moist as per the instructions. I didn't realize how many seeds I was going to get when I bought them. I planted quite a few but just don't have enough space to plant all of the seeds. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi- I am not sure. I did a quick google search and most recommend wooded areas, with 80-90% shade, planted in loomy soil conditions. I know that these seeds are ready to go.
