Questions & Comments
If I understand correctly this device can connect a network capable item, that doesn't have a built in wireless adapter to my home network without having to plug it directly into the router. I have a blu-ray player that sometimes requires software updates. In the past I have had to disconnect it from the TX and move it closer to the router where I then connect it via the RJ-45 port on the back of the machine into the router. Am I correct that with this I should be able to create a wireless network connection with the player?
no it would be a direct connect because the device plugs into your electric wall jack and an Ethernet come out of the device and directly into your blue ray the other device is plugged into another electric wall jack and that Ethernet wire is going to the router so the internet connection is going threw the electric outlets in your house and the plug links just tell the internet signal where to start and where to finish..
