Is this unlocked or can I get it unlocked so I can use any prepaid company? Is it a smart phone? Able to plug in "The Square" to accept credit cards? F&W
Its not unlocked and i have no clue if u can unlock it or not, sorry....Yes it is a Smart phone..:) I havent had the phone to long to know if it works for credit cards...
I dont think its Android...When i swapped this phone from my old phone Sprint told me i needed to get the internet plan because this phone was a smartphone, nothing about Android..
to answer the SIM card question each phone from sprint runs independant with a built in system that replaces the SIM cards. Its very easy to steal a phone and toss your SIM card in but alot harder to steal a phone and hack it to make it yours. i had the first version of this phone and it was great phone wish they had a stylus version instead of the heat sensative one it kept going off in my pocket if it got to hot! i dont ever remebr these runnin gon andriod though? a smart phone yes one of the first but i dont think it ran on andriod did it? i thought it ran on its own system before andriod was developed kinda like the inbetween from dumb phone to smart phone. (which i miss my dumb phone my "smart" phone is a pain!)
i didnt think it was android either until i did some searches on the internet and i read alot of answers to the question, Is a samsung instinct m800 an android? everytime the answer was yes so i'm assuming it is...
If I may try to add a little clarity: Samsung's Instinct phones use their own proprietary platform (Samsung's Standard AU-MIC OS), and are not Android at all.
They are still very nice phones, however, and certainly not cheap.
Will you guarantee it if I get it and it doesn't work? Hate to be skeptical and I DO see the pics that shows it works but.......... Know what I mean? Thx for listing it :)
