The listing, Canon EOS Rebel II 35mm SLR has ended.
In good operating condition, the two features you'll notice first on the camera are the COMMAND DIAL on the right (as you look at the camera), and an LCD screen on the left.
The Command Dial sets the operating mode. There are five "Programmed Image Control" (P.I.C.) modes:
- Green Zone
- Portrait
- Landscape
- Close-Up
- Sports
There are seven "Creative Zone" mode:
- Program AE
- Shutter-Priority
- Aperture-Priority
- Manual
- Depth-of-Field
- Soft Focus
- Sound Mode
There is a mode for both the Self-Timer and Manual Film Speed Setting.
If you win the camera, I STRONGLY recommend you download a FREE copy of the manual at www.butkus.org/chinon/canon/canon_eos_rebel_ii_sii/canon_eos_rebel_ii_sii.htm. You’ll need it!
The camera is equipped with a 35-80mm AF lens. The lens can be operated manually by a switch on the side of the lens.
When the camera is operating, the LCD screen will show the shutter speed, the aperture size, the battery condition, and the number of pictures remaining.
A small dial behind the shutter controls various aspects of each mode, such as changing the shutter speed when in Shutter-Priority mode, or the aperture when in Aperture-Priority mode.
The flash is built-in, and will pop-up when the camera determines additional light is needed.
I could write more, but it's best if you win, download the manual, then study the manual in depth. You might have to shoot several rolls of film while trying out each of the settings. Keep a VERY detailed diary of all the settings on the camera so that you can compare those settings with the results, and learn how changing the settings affect the final product.
A great camera, even if it still uses film! You will need a new 2CR5 lithium battery before it will operate.
