1) She's not selling it. She's auctioning it off.
2) It's obvious you don't know anything about electronics. People pay A LOT for some of the 'guts' in various electronic items. I guess you've never searched for electronics on Ebay (especially) or Amazon - or any site for that matter? If you had, you would see many broken items that are sold for parts. I sell broken iPhones on a daily basis for literally $100-$300 *just* for a single part *of* the broken phone.
3) Just as you asked her why she would "sell" something just for broken parts - why would *you* comment on her auction just to say something rude, obnoxious, and belittling of yourself? Regardless of your answer, it will make no sense.
4.) Please look up the definition of "logic" instead of making rude commentary on any seller's auction listings. And no, you weren't "just asking" - it's obvious the statement was intended to be rude. It was - but moreover - tasteless.

as stated in the description, it could be used for parts or possibly a craft if someone wants to. or maybe someone would want to buy it to then pay to get it fixed. it's not like i'm selling it for the cost of a new one. i'm not even charging shipping

thank you. that was my first thought, but then i thought about all these crafters that make awesome things with random items. i would love to see some sort of craft made from a camera. i'd do it but i'm not that crafty on that sort of things lol

no charger since the charger we have works with other batteries we have for other cameras. the battery is able to come out and get put into a charger. but no charger is included since the camera doesn't work

we still use it. my dad has like 4 batteries he uses with it. he does a lot of recording
