Yes it is a touch screen. From what I understand you can go to Cell.Unlock.Network
(cell-unlock-network.com) and pay 4.79 to unlock phones so you can use them with other carriers. Havent tried this but this is what they advertise

I dont know if it is right now but from what i understand is if you go to the site i listed above and pay the 4.95 for the code you can make it work with anyone.
