No, I pluged it up, pluged it into the modem we got from the cable company, and it connected just fine.

If you check this link, which is to the product page for this router on the Netgear website, you will see that it says this is a CD-less installation. No CD.

This is an awesome router! I'm using one at home, and with a wireless N network adapter, I have gotten up to a 1.1 Megabit transfer rate. Whoever wins this, is getting a top-notch product. I highly recommend it.
