Common evening primrose is a native biennial or perennial plant in WI. Plants can grow to 8+ feet tall but most of the time they remain around 4 feet in height. Pretty, sunny yellow blooms perfume the air in late summer and early fall. Evening bloomer. Attracts hummingbirds, moths and butterflies. Finches enjoy picking through the seed heads after flowers go to seed in the fall.

Average to sandy soil conditions. Drought tolerant. Reseeds freely.

I have been gardening for well over 20 years and I do not use chemicals or pesticides of any kind in my gardens. All seeds are hand-picked, sorted, dried and packaged by me.
