Actually, no. For all 3 systems, points are region specific, so a US card is only for a US account, it will not work for a non-US account.

to leave no room for error, your safest option is to state that the card is for a US user only.

there's even more restrictions and complications to get around them.
for certain content your IP address is checked against what country your account is from to see if they match. if they don't, you can't access it.
also, if your IP address is from a country not officially supported, you can't access it either.
ptownswim3, Xbox Live subscription codes work worldwide, so maybe that's what you read were universal.

yes but what is cool is that even if a Add on or a full game is bought by a us account you can use it with a european one on the same Xbox...
