Description

The listing, Lot of 3 Antique Tintype Photographs has ended.

Three small (1 3/4" x 2 1/4") antique tintypes with paper frames (2 1/2" x 4"), each with the subject's name written below the photograph. The two boys are Henry Krohn and Frank Krohn, and the adult male is Augustus Rainey.

Each photo was attached to the paper frame with wide paper tape. Two of the tintypes have since come loose, so I re-attached them with a tiny piece of Scotch tape.

Great for altered projects, collages or just to collect.

I bought them along with a lot of other antique photos and tintypes at an auction about five years ago. The auction took place in Cincinnati OH. And yes, they are definitely tintypes.

If have scan of the pictures you might want to download it to Ancestry.com as someone tracing a family history might know more about the family and enjoy having picture of distant relatives.

Also Dead Fred at deadfred.com is a site that features old pictures people can use to try to find old ancestors and to put up old unidentified photos. They would welcome copies of your scans as well.
