Ladies, I think every woman {and man} who has a child should share the best moments they have shared previously with their loved ones. I believe traditions of love and understanding are very important for those following us. It not only teaches but gives each child a sense of self. Take Lissa's Vintage sewing box. It's obviously well cared for and in itself has a history which then becomes the winners history....in the making. A possible tradition in love in the making. Good luck Lissa and thank you for your reply. Fanned.

IF you think you wont be around to bid, Bid as much as you plan to spend Before you leave the PC that way who knows...you could win.

Just found 2 large spools of thread. wooden spools. one says coats & clark's heavy duty ,o.n.t. 250 yds, mercerized. and one says coats & clark's white boilfast, o.n.t. 325 yrds, size 50 mercerized sewing and 29 cents.
now there's a tape measure that says Made in china and FIBER-GLASS. There's a vintage seam ripper, and a few SEWING MACHINE things like 3 bobbins AND the Holders with thread, a vintage sewing maching foot with the big screw that holds it on the machine.

I have the exact same box and use it for just that: a sewing and button box, its just the right size and the legs make it perfect beside my chair when mending. Sweet auction, who ever the lucky person is that gets this, they will love having it!

Already a fan, bidding for sure! I picked up an old in cabinet sewing machine at a yard sale for $10, and it still worked and had the original instructions. This set would go great with that!

I apologize for not understanding your instructions . Are you wanting flat rate shipping costs AND the postage to send it? I continue to watch stealthily and hope I'm around when it gets down to the wire LOL.

One of my most treasured moments as a child was playing with my grandmothers button box. I wish I knew who got that. Now I have one of my own, many are collectors buttons. Have you checked out Joanne Fabrics lately and what the cost of buttons is? Best wishes on your auction. Bid and watching.

I have a whole tin sugar canister of buttons from my Gram ranging from tiny to huge. My granddaughters and I were just going through them the other day. Back in my Gram's day NOTHING was wasted....sadly not so today. But I do tell my granddaughters how different things like scrap cloth, buttons, etc can be reused. I even explained to them how to make a cushy rug using leftover wool that is rolled into small coil and each is stitched together to make the rug. Then I surprised them by telling them how to clean it. You lay it on the snow and walk on it well, flip it over and repeat then hang it and beat the snow out of it. They thought that would be fun. lol
