Are these like plain paper lunch bags with news print? How heavy is the Bavarian? Could it actually hold a lunch?

Hi! Thanks for looking :D. They are not gusseted lunch bags. They are more like a bag that you would get at Hallmark when you buy a greeting card. They are not heavyweight at all. It could hold a lunch, if you were on an extreme diet of food made of birthday cards. What, may I ask, is a Bavarian?
