just went to the vera bradley site to see what they say and they dont say anything about it being insulated but they do call it a lunch bag a say it hilds most froxen dinners...it has that white heavy plastic linning in it like mose fabric lunch bags do but i dont know wejher to call that insulation or mot....i guess thats a personal call dont want to misslead you;...sorry i cant be more help
