Description

The listing, GERMAN GARLIC BULBILS (Organic) has ended.

GERMAN EXTRA HARDY – Porcelain type, Hardneck Garlic

Winner will receive (10) BULBILS **similar to those shown in last picture but more round than long**

(NOT the BULBS or CLOVES shown in first picture)

This is one of the most winter-hardy garlic varieties. A very white garlic, but the clove wrappers are a dark red. A distinctive, moderately spicy flavor sets this garlic apart from the rest. Plump cloves on paper-white bulbs, this is a great roasting variety, and stores well into the winter months. Each bulb typically has 5-6 cloves.
Mid-season harvest, Medium heat

I will send this in regular envelope with bubble sheet wrap around the bulbils and pay extra postage to get it HAND SORT so they don't put the envelope in the sorting machine and crush the bulbils inside.

***THERE WILL BE NO REFUND OF CREDIT OR REPLACEMENT OF BULBILS DUE TO POSTAL DAMAGE***

If you feels that you need an extra protection for the bulbils by using a bubble envelope, I will be more than happy to do that for the shipping and handling fee of $2.50 via PayPal payment (please let me know once auction ended before I send your item out, usually the day of or the day after auction or whenever I have your mailing address)

Here is the link for garlic planting instruction

They do like average water during leaf grow but once you see that the leaf starting to turn yellow you need to stop watering it and let the bulbs dry out for about a week or two before you lift it up from the ground. Once its out from the ground you can continue to dry the bulbs by bunching the stems together and hang it in a dry place away from the sun (or it will get sunburn inside) for about two more weeks and it's ready to be store for use in a later date.
I couldn't remember how long it took mine to grow but 4 months is seems about right. The bulbs will grow from 2-3 times the original one you planted in the soil so if it doesn't get to the size you like to eat on the first season you can replant the bulbs (separate each clove when you replant them) again and check it the next season. Once you have some that is in a good eating size you can replant some and keep some to eat so this way you always have the clove to replant next season.

I love this garlic. It's very easy to peel and have a good flavor when eating raw. The flavor will be milder when cooked.

I hope this answer your questions and thanks for asking : )
