I bought a few. have cats and dogs, dogs hate it and just struggle to get loose, the cat just sits there until done. So, for cats it works well, probably small dogs, larger dogs, not so much.

well, as you can read above, my little ones dont mind it, its my chow that is way to playful. But as heitzier2 says, they really just have to wean into it.

I have been a dog trainer and vet tech - and, honestly, it comes down to training your dog that you are alpha. Once that happens, you just slowly wean them into it...usually isn't too much of a problem :)
