@ I have this same rod, and I can say it is a sturdy rig. I haven't personally brought in a 20lb fish on it, but I wouldn't doubt its ability to do so.

Do you have any idea if this rod has specific weight limits for fish? If I were using it there wouldn't be anything bigger than about 20 lbs max on it, but I've seen collapsibles that had limits of 10 lbs before...

Booklet doesn't say if there is a weight limit. Ad says catch any type of fish and they talk about catching bass. Hope this helps :)
