The knitting book shows basic stitches, general information, yarn weight system chart, metric equivalents chart, knitting abbreviations chart, and explains needle sizes. There is a section showing how to knit for Left-Handed knitters. Also, included are 17 patterns to start from including shawl, men's scarf and hat, 3 afghans, girl's poncho, baby hoodie, dog coat, cowl and leg warmers, woman's scarf and sweater, boy's sweater. Good for You! This book would be very helpful as it was for me. Teaches you about gauge, needle sizes, yarn types, and lots of easy patterns. Knitting is a wonderful craft to keep the mind sharp and fingers nimble.

I used to knit a long time ago and tried to learn how to crochet but I just cant get the hang of it so thought I'd go back to knitting.
