Description

The listing, Big Macaw Feather Lot! has ended.

Here is another batch of Macaw feathers from my bird Pebbles. None of them had any poop on them, I don't keep those. The longest one at the bottom going straight across is 20 inches but there's a spot on it about an inch long that's damaged where she chewed it. Otherwise it's fine. All other feathers are perfect. There's 4 that are 11-12 inches long, 3 that are 7-8 inches long, about 5 that are about 5 inches long and the rest vary in inches down to 1/4 inch (roughly). There's also a weird looking brown one in here that I don't know where it came from but I threw it in. I'll also add any she sheds before the auction ends. Free shipping.

Yes...there are many uses and the ones I use in my dream catchers that I've made for the past (over) 25 years, I enjoy making. I have these "strange to some belief", that there spirit moves on with their feathers. I know it sounds weird, but that is how my brain (what LITTLE I have left, after 2 strokes) believes. I wish you the very Best and if I don't win, I hope the person that does, puts them to the best use. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

I know that some people use these for dream catchers. I think these would be beautiful on those. No, you don't sound weird. It's called, 'imagination'! : )

I get asked that now and again. No, she actually molts all by herself. I've never once pulled one off of her. If I did she'd give me a huge pinch I'm sure and I'd completely deserve it! : )

I want a macaw so bad. I think they are beautiful. I do crafting with their feathers but I would much rather have the whole birdie. Where did you get your bird?

I actually got her from a pet shop in California 20 years ago (they can live to be up to 80 years old with good health care). The lady had gotten her from a business that just bought her for their front office. Not a good idea as they need a lot of emotional attention and they can scream at the drop of a hat when they feel like it. She's great though. She's like another one of my kids. : )

No problem. I've found out there's so many uses for these. I could kick myself
for the ones I threw away before I found Listia!

If I win, I'm planning on using them for Native American regalia (I'm a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe), so I too would use them well! Good luck to everyone

I remembered your story and because of that, I made sure to add that other big one that I did. That would be such a cool use. My bird these feathers come from is a sweetheart so you'd be getting some of that personality in your regalia!
