Thanks. Also, I'm not too familiar with Smocking and Candlewicking- do they require a sewing machine? Or are all the patterns done by hand?

it's needlepoint that you do by hand, it's a printed pattern that you add the stitching to, then a lace trim for the edge and sewing the back to the front and fill it with pillowfill
