Dont know exactly what this is guess it can be used for sogar,or milk,has a screw on type lid with a screw cap on it and it has sectioned slots.

This looks more like a cocktail shaker to me than a sugar shaker ect. It would depend on how tall it is I guess. Good luck with your auction.

I agree, it's a cocktail shaker. :) Can't tell how old it is from the pictures, but it's definitely a shaker. It's kinda neat. I like it. F&W
