DOES NOT COME WITH A BATTERY OR CHARGER! I plugged it in to take pics proving it does power on, just doesn't have a battery. I don't know what happened to the battery. Has cosmetic damage, as shown in the pics. I was happy that the screen came on to show that it's ok when I plugged it in. Didn't think that was possible, but I guess that's one of the reasons it's a "smart" phone! lol

I'm not sure exactly about the battery, but found them on Amazon.com for less than $4. I don't know how to jailbreak it, and I don't know about 4,500...I'll think about it and let you know :)
