why is this coin rare i know its old but did they make so many of them to make it rare or is its just old.

its a rare coin because yes its old its an obsolete design they are not making any more of them not many suvived with readable dates because the way the coin was designed the date is the highest point of the obverse and being from the Sanfrancisco Mint it is a better date

Thanks for the info. I bought alot of old coins at a yard sale and the guy told me that there was about $50 dollars in them and i got them for $10.Don"t know to much about coins but bought them any how.LOL
