Questions & Comments
i know it hard to take a photos but would you mind posting the model number of the drive and if you have the model number of thecomputer it came from?
I don't have the model number of the laptop we took this from, it's long gone now. It was an HP Laptop though that shouldn't prevent the drive from being able to be used with another manufacturer's system. The model number for the drive is UJ - 851.
Does this drive happen to say Multi-bay II on it? And can you give me the 'spare part' number? It'll be on a white sticker and it's indicated as "Spares No." with a number next to it.
I don't see anything on it about Multi-Bay. To be honest, I don't see a "Spares No." either but I do see an "S/N" number which I'm going to assume is the same thing. Here it is: S/N: 7FAHA880542
I've taken drives from one PC to another and one laptop to another. Never tried going from laptop to desktop or vice versa. I'm inclined to say that it would so long as you have the correct connection, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't but I won't promise you anything because I've never done it.
