I'd love to give these to St. Jude Research Hospital. They use these to make needles for the cancer patients.

Sorry to disappoint, but they do not make needles out of them. They collect them for the aluminum recycling value and sell them to the plants to raise money for the Ronald McDonald Houses that are located hear the hospitals to help pay for parents to stay close to their children. I checked the urban legend Webpages. It's still a worthy cause, but needles for injection are made of steel, not aluminum. Thought you should know.
