The listing, NASA Original Cancelled Apollo 11 Launch Envelope w/ NASA post cards. has ended.
NASA Original Cancelled Apollo 11 Launch Envelope.
Sent from Kennedy space center on July 16, 1969. These were sent out by NASA employees to celebrate successful launches and milestones. It has an Apollo 8 stamp with the words "In the beginning, God..." Not something you are likely to see anymore. And has been canceled from The Kennedy space center.
Included in this pack are nine NASA post cards from the Gemini program. The post cards show the vehicle assembly building, a crawler, a launch pad, two Saturn rockets, a Gemini Titan rocket launching, a Saturn V on the launch pad, and Virgil "Guss" Grissom and John Young walking to the gantry elevator.
These are post cards from the golden age of space exploration. When we were competing with the USSR to be the first, the fastest, the best and the brightest. These are the only ones I have and I doubt I'll be getting any more. So get these while they last.
These will make a great Christmas gift for anyone interested in history, NASA, or space exploration.
