It's called a circlet. It slips onto the neck sideways, then you turn it so that the opening is in the back.

its called a torq, one size fits most necks, looks to be stainless, with brass weld, trippy looking

I've heard of them being called a collar necklace . They were big back in the days of the Romans the ladies that wore them were very well off not hurting for anything. You don't see many of them anymore. I'm watching will see how high the bids go. It is a very nice piece and yes it would turn some heads. Good luck
