The Birch here are holding pretty good. We've lost a couple but that's it. Did the Oaks go over with huge root balls or did the limbs fall? We have a mix of that going on here now

they where old growth so mostly huge limb snapping off or large portions of the tree, had two large trees go down next to the house. i thought one was coming through the wall, i couldnt see it but i was at my computer in one of th back bedrooms when i heard a loud cracking and thought , well that tree is comin down! ithen i realized the sound was close eought to be coming down on me so i bolted for the door and fell into the hallway, lucky for me it fell the length of the house taking out two big tv antennas and the power lines before landing across the road witch was already blocked by another treee. it was cool cause people started showing up like worker ants with chainsaws.

wow not that bad here, only 35-40 but i know the feeling. two years ago we had a wee storm with 80's. the oak trees dont do well in winds that high. it looked lke a war zone, would have been worse if a bench of th trees hadnt already fell over or snapped intwo from the heavy snow a couple of weeks earlier
