I bought a collection of baseball cards and in the sleeve of one of the books was this first edition-"beckett hockey magazine", featuring wayne gretski on the cover, with a great article, among many other greats!!!! beckett magazine was the magazine for trading cards of all sports, a blue book of sorts for sports, hockey, baseball, football and basketball. it was a great gift to hockey fans to have a national magazine devoted to their sport!!! "beckett hockey magazine", please ask a hockey fan friend, if you are not one yourself, about this incredible first edition, sept./oct.1990, of "beckett hockey magazine". articles on wayne gretzky, roy borque, pat lafontaine, and a big last but certainly not least, bobby orr, called "a final look:bobby orr-he won every award known to hockey. but most important, he changed the game itself." by frank tretter.
the value of this item is all over the bord on e-bay, depending when the auction is ending, but some are at 59, i think. you can google to see.
awesome piece of memorabilia, in mint condition, never opened, apparently.
for you hockey fans, this is not to be passed up, it is too rare, the beginning of the nationalization of hockey, it was regional before magazines like this brought it to every kid in america!!
