Description

The listing, Ukrainian Pysanka Egg has ended.

Up for grabs is a really unique traditional folk art done by me. A lot of people call them Ukrainian Easter Eggs, but they are actually made with varying designs and colors and used throughout the year for reasons to numerous to mention! Yes you read right this is a REAL chicken egg done with HOURS of waxing and dyeing!!!! As I was saying different designs and colors mean different things. EVERYTHING that is put on an egg has a meaning!! The one pictured here is "40 Triangles" and has a meaning all to its own. It stands for the 40 days of lent, 40 days of Christ's fasting, the 40 martyrs, and the 40 birds hovering around the 40 martyrs. Even if your not religious this will still look great on your shelf or make a great Christmas gift!!!!! This is a steal because I usually sell my eggs starting at $60 and up!!!!

I will be sending with the egg a pamphlet on the meanings behind the egg as well as the care instructions. The stand that you see will also be included. Verified addresses only please and happy bidding!!!!!!!
If you would like to see more examples of my work you can checkout my Facebook page:

If any of you have checked out my website photos of my previous works, I am also able to do custom orders! Just message me if interested. Also, if bids go high enough I will turn it into a hanging egg. You can either place it in the stand it will come with or you can hang it (looks GREAT on a Christmas tree by the way)!!
Shipping is free but if you want insurance you will have to pay the extra $2.50. Insurance is highly recommended since I had one shipped back to me from a gift shop that broke. I prefer pay pal but will do money order. If you choose money order it will take longer to receive it. I will not do buyer's remorse, you must read before placing bids. Also do not advertise on my listing or your comment will be blocked. Everyone is on here to have fun and give things away so be respectful!

Merry Meet, I would like to say how beautiful those kind of Easter Eggs are that you make. I know how long and hard they are to make and they come out beautifully.

Yes they do take up quite a bit of my time!!! And since I work on them in my spare time staying home with my 3 very young kids, it sometimes takes me a very long time to finish one!

Absolutely beautiful! I have quite the collection handed down to me from my grand mother. I'll have to figure this website out and try and earn some credits lol.

Thanks!! That's so cool that you have some from your grandma! This is definitely something I plan to hand down and teach my kids!! You still have a few days on this, but if you miss out in it I plan to put up some others after the 1st of the year and I also sell them where I live. If you love this one you'll have to check out some of the others on my Facebook page!!!!!

This one is which is why it is hangable, but some of my others are not. When not emptied, they will over time dry out inside and the yolk will rattle.
