Hi Brookie228, if you have a tape measure just measure across the base along the sides for width. Measure from the base to the highest point on the hand for height. You can even use a ruler. Pick it up with one hand. Is it just a little heavy or too heavy for one hand? If this is heavy, fifteen dollars for shipping would be understandable. If it will fit in a medium priority box, you could reduce the shipping to 11.35. As a newby, I strongly advise spending 85 cents for tracking because in the long run, it can save you major headaches if the item is lost (you can prove you sent it) and especially if someone who wants to cheat you claims they never got the item but the tracking info proves it was delivered. I hope this doesn't frighten you off Listia, overall it is a great place and I love doing business on here!!! You do have to use precautions, however, while 98% of people on here are honest and having fun there is always that small group who want to take advantage of people. One last thing . . . when you feel the hand, does it feel like metal as opposed to plastic? It's okay if you don't know what kind of metal, I think folks just want to know if it is metal.

Go to the USPS postal web site and follow their layout. It will give you approximate calculations depending on weight and box size. If this will fit in a large or medium priority post flat rate box that fits and ships, that is the way to go. You can then give your fellow Listians an exact rate without having to respond to a bunch of zipcodes. The boxes are free at the post office. I would also include a couple of more pictures of this piece from the other side and list its dimensions, so it will help your buyers get an idea of what condition it is and size. Exact shipping is scary on here because some folks are not trustworthy and will gouge buyers to make some extra money. And then being new makes it a little more concerning. You can update your listing if you choose. I think it is a great piece!

It looks like it would fit into a flat-rate shipping container (either medium or large), which is like $10-11 bucks to ship. That would be better than $15 in shipping !!
