Description

The listing, Resin Wizard Statue has ended.

::::I'm relisting this because the first time around it wasn't claimed, and the second time the winner refused to pay shipping. Please, serious bidders only. Do NOT waste my time with this.:::::

This is a little resin statue I got quite some time ago. As I've moved to a very tiny apartment, I've been going through my knick-knackery that I just don't look at and appreciate any more.

I hope someone here can appreciate and enjoy a wizard torso with an opened tome. Inside of the little snow globe is another tiny wizard standing up with a staff.

A note: The little wizard in the snow globe is somewhat loose. It came that way, and has been threatening to come loose in the snow globe since day one.

Shipping: I accept shipping fees via paypal. While I do accept shipping fees in the form of concealed cash or postal order, I will not be held responsible for shipping fees lost in the post. The winner is responsible for getting the shipping fees to me via any of these choices.

For those of you that beg, please note: Once I get a better job, I will be doing free shipping, but until then I just can't afford it.

I ship my packages out in recycled, reused envelopes or boxes whenever possible. I ship to the Listia verified address only to protect myself from scammers UNLESS I have shipped to you before and had personal communications in the past.

I'm happy you read the comments, since not many people do. But, no, she's not working a deal on the side. Unfortunately, as a new bidder here to the site, she didn't know if you place a bid, you can't end an auction. So, highest bidder is the winner (whether you, her, or someone else) and I'll be sending it out as soon as I get your address and shipping fees. :)

Thanks for reading, asking, and bidding!

marjtay... Don't know you but I will be blocking you from my auctions. You are rude and inconsiderate. I would not like to have you bidding or commenting on any of my auctions. I suspect you can be a problem from start to finish. BTW. The shipping charge is certainly fair.

You know, I was thinking that before on many auctions, but I don't know if the rude ones watch once they've made a post and move on. It makes me wonder if Listia will ever upgrade the comments section so that we can talk to one another, not just to the one that runs the auction. I'd LOVE to see that day when there could be full out conversations.

I'm sorry but you can't change the end date on this item once people have started bidding on it. This is against Listia rules. I also think that $5.00 shipping is a bit much for this item. Not going to be bidding on it that's for sure. I do collect wizards but this is way to much for shipping being it's only resin.

Sorry you feel that way. Boxes, bubble wrap and the post office all require money. If the world were cheaper, I'm sure we'd all be happier.

Yep. It's still nestled in a lot of bubble wrap and taped tightly into a box. It's been ready to send for aaaaages. I'll look forward to finally sending it on to someone that really wants it. =)

Fanned, watching and will be bidding. My son collects wizards and this one is rather unusual. Shipping is very fair considering the size.

Thank you! I can't even remember where I got this guy. He's heavy and solid, though. Best of luck winning!

And thank you on the shipping. I usually try to pay for half the shipping whenever I can on these. I figure if slippers usually cost $3 to send, then this has got to cost a lot more. The post office sucks in that regard.

Hello - I live in Indianapolis and would be able to do a pick-up. I'm pretty new to the site, and have a question you might be able to answer. Does the auction have to go on until Dec. 13? I wondered because if I were to do a good bid, perhaps you would be willing to accept it. (Mainly asking because of a birthday coming up this weekend.) I'm going to put in a bid now anyway, but would appreciate your input. Thanks.

I can and will. What's your offer? I want this thing off my hands, so if you're willing to stop by and get it, we'll arrange something.

Jinnxz: I misread what you wrote, and I'd like to correct it. The LITTLE wizard (inside the globe) is probably only about an inch tall. The whole statue is about 7in tall.

I'm terribly sorry if this mislead anyone.

Oh, I know, but it's for my own sanity that I make the auctions so long. It's the only way to guarantee I don't go crazy getting to the post office and back. =P

what are the measurements on the little wizard??? F&W
Dec 4th, 2012 at 1:07:15 AM PST by

I making a guess here because after the first winner, I wrapped him in a box and sealed it up. I don't want to do the metric tonne of bubble wrap to measure him.

I'm gonna guess about 7 inches tall and 3 inches wide. Give or take some.

Oh for pete's sake -- wouldn't you know?!! Well, I'm going to keep watching and bidding -- it's for my son, who is now in his 30's, which makes him too old to throw a tantrum over a late b'day present! He likes dragons and wizards and all that!
