Questions & Comments
I have a question I keep seeing people asking if it a smoke free .. Like why they ask that? Because I see it shouldn't matter if a person smoke or not ! By time the packages get to u the smell of cigs will be gone ( that my opinion not to offend anyone but sorry) just wanted to know
Actually - No, the smell of the cigarette smoke is NOT gone by the time the item reaches the house. I have received several packages from homes of "smokers" and I kid you not - I could smell the smoke from the moment I began removing the tape from the package! The most recent item I received was so bad, I had to throw it in the wash immediately and toss the box outside (and I usually re-use the boxes).. Fortunately, it was an item that could be washed and I actually wore it today - smoke free. I think because smokers are so used to the smell, they just can't smell it the way a non-smoker can. As long as I can wash an item, be it a blouse or a figurine, I don't care. However, there are some things like handbags - especially the more expensive ones, that just can't be tossed in the washer and quite honestly - that smell permeates right through it to where I don't think you would ever be able to get it out.'
Now I understand and thanks for telling me ! I don't smoke but I thought the smell doesn't stay ! I'm new on here & I just like to know what people mean on certain things ! & that crazy! I agree :) thanks
I vouch for tessbeyers, I've received a couple of purses that I had to air out for days to try to get the cigarette smoke smell out of. If you're not a smoker (in which I'm not)......you can really smell it big time. Like she said, as soon as you start to open the package. That's a fact.
