The listing, Rare Muppet Family Christmas DVD has ended.
Exceptionally Rare! No longer in print!
This was made when Jim Henson was alive and owned the rights to all his programs.
That's why this features the Muppets from the Muppet Show, the Sesame Street Muppets, Fraggle Rock Muppets, and Muppet Babies.
This program can no longer be sold because all these different shows are owned by different corporations--The Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock are owned by Disney, Sesame Street is owned by Childrens' Television Workshop, and it appears Fraggle Rock is retired (I looked on Wikipedia).
This program aired only three times on USA television in 1987, 1988, and 1989. It was edited to make room for commercials.
This is the original version with all scenes intact--NO DELETED SCENES!
In this one-hour Christmas special, Fozzie Bear surprises his mother Emily on Christmas Eve by bringing the entire Muppet gang to her farm to celebrate the holidays. Doc and his dog Sprocket, who had planned a quiet Christmas, end up joining the Muppets in their holiday activities and preparations.
The Sesame Street regulars, including Big Bird, Bert, Ernie and others, join the festivities, but to Kermit's dismay, the only one missing is Miss Piggy, who has been caught in a snowstorm.
About the DVD you're bidding on:
It is not a store-bought copy. It is a .avi file I have on my computer which I copied to a DVD-R.
Since it is an .avi file it may not play on your DVD player (it wouldn't on mine) but it WILL play on your computer drive or BluRay.
On Amazon.com today (Dec. 3, 2012), this program is selling for $119.94 for a new DVD, and $59.69 for a used VHS.
I will not ship internationally (sorry Canada).
Only Listia verified addresses, please.
