The listing, Chancy by Louis L'Amour has ended.
This is an older paperback with several large creases on the front and back covers. Someone also wrote their initials in ink on the front cover. There is also some wear showing along the spine and someone used whiteout on the first page. The pages are starting to turn brown. Still very readable.
"Are you a fighter?" Chancy suggested. "Or just a Saturday night drunk?"
The prisoner came off the bunk fast. "Open that damned door," he said, his jaw set.
"You?" Chancy sneered. "Why I'd pin back your ears, grease your hair and swallow you whole. If you ever take a punch at me I'll bounce you so high they'd have to shoot you to keep you from starving to death."
The prisoner chuckled suddenly. "Open the door, boss. You've hired yourself a boy."
